On the evening of October 29, with Mom and Dad away, big brother Basti took charge and treated Ethan, Stephen, Sky and Chloe to Shakey’s.
The pepperoni pizza came out first, hot on its stand, and nobody waited long. One of the boys had a slice up to his mouth before the plate even reached him, and Chloe went in with the biggest bite she could manage, all smiles.
Then came the Chicken ‘n’ Mojos, the Shakey’s classic, and the table went quiet for a while in the best way.
It wasn’t a big outing, just pizza, chicken and the kids together. But it’s a nice thing to hear about from far away, knowing Basti looked after his siblings and they all had a good night. Thank you, Kuya Basti.
