On October 30, with Dad away, Basti stepped up again. He took Ethan and Sky to their taekwondo training. Chloe and Stephen chose a quiet day at home instead.
Training was all kicks, stances and loud kihaps on the mats. When it ended, the boys were tired and hungry, and Basti had the perfect fix: ramen.
He treated them both to Ramen Nagi, which Ethan and Sky say is their favourite. One look at the photos shows why. Chopsticks went straight in, noodles came up, and nobody said much until the bowls were nearly empty.
It was a simple night, but it’s the kind we love to keep. A big brother looked after his little brothers, and they finished the day with full stomachs and big smiles.
