Il Angelo Review: A Quick, Tasty Italian Lunch Near the Eiffel Tower

Il Angelo's terrace and its truffle risotto near the Eiffel Tower

Before our Eiffel Tower afternoon, Dimple and I needed lunch, and we needed it fast. A hungry family is not a happy family, and I say that as the hungriest member. We found Il Angelo, an Italian trattoria a short walk from the tower.

What we ate

We ordered the truffle risotto and the lasagna. Two plates, two happy people.

The verdict

Everything was good, and it came out fast. Good food all round, quick service, no waiting around. When you’ve got a tower to visit, that’s exactly what you want. Or, in my own words: "everything was good and fast food fast food." Translation: good food, fast service, and nobody checking their watch.

Getting there

The tower is just down the street. You can see it from the pavement as you walk up, which is handy, because it’s very hard to get lost when your landmark is that tall.
